Millet gruel - the queen of all groats!

Millet gruel is a groats from hulled millet grain. Groats are a great energy source (320-340kcal/100g). Its main energy component is starch, which makes up about 65% of its content. Groats contain about 10-11% protein and no gluten. They have many advantages, they are easily digestible and very nutritious (100g – 346kcal). They contain silica, which is rarely found in foods and which has healing properties particularly for the joints and the appearance of the skin, nails, and hair.

Millet gruel contains a lot of vitamin B (thiamine, riboflavin, pantothenic acid pyridoxine). Rich in lecithin and minerals: magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, potassium, and iron. Contains vitamin E- if we eat it often enough, it can be a fairly good source of this vitamin as well.

It can be seen from the above nutrition advantages of millet gruel that this type of food is particularly great for small children as well as people on gluten-free or easily digestible diet. Therefore, it can be used for meals for the whole family!
